- Is totally FREE.
- Easy to manage… you just have to post and publish.
- Blogs are automatically optimized for search engines.
- Blogs get spidered quickly by search engines…more
frequently than websites…search engines assume blogs
offer more fresh content than most sites and seem to love
them. I’ve had my blog indexed in Google within days from
starting it.
- If you have a website, blogging can be considered as
extra useful content for it.
- You create an online community on/about your blog.
- You can sell advertising space in your blog. Sites
like: Blogads, Adbrite, Money4Blogs, Text-Link-Ads, Backlinks and Exoclick will pay you to display their ads (banners, text-ads or one sentence links) in your blog.
- Keeps you in touch with your customers on a deeper
level that surpasses that’s of a website.
- Blogs can be syndicated and users can get an easier way
to stay in touch with your latest news/posts, by adding
you to their favourites.
- You Do Not Need To Know HTML
- Again if you already have a website, new pages will get
indexed more quickly in search engines.
If you are considering starting a Blog, you can do that by opening a free account at Blogger (owned by Google), or opening one at WordPress. These two seem to be the best out there with different features you have to checkout first to choose the one that most suits you. From there on follow the instructions and choose a template for your Blog. It really is easy to Blog and you don’t need to have any technical skills. Make your first post by entering a title or a headline and some details just like writing an e-mail. After you are done, hit the Publish button and voila! You now have a live Blog that is viewed by everyone.
You can have unlimited number of Blogs in Blogger and WordPress and you can choose to host them either on your site or for free with them.
It is better to choose a topic that interests you for your Blog. It can be one of your hobbies, your country or home town, a fav tv series, a vacation that you had, local news, something political ….etc. Try to post in your Blog at least once or twice a week. Although it is possible for you to publish other people’s articles (with their author’s resource box at the bottom of their
article), It is prefered that you come up with your own content.
Once you have started your Blog, it is time for you to promote it same as you do a site, with little differences. I will talk about that in future. If you want more ideas on how to make money from
